A couple of tattoo ideas, for a beautiful young lady.
The Koi fish could use a little more contrast from his fins to his scales, but overall I like him. I thought about putting some waves behind him, but decided against it.
The chickadee is just a fun little bird.

Taking some time at work and doing some figure study. It's obviously off in a few spots - the PFC's hand, IBA, the size of his head, and a couple other particulars, but it's not terrible.
For some reason my sense of scale and depth seemed to deteriorate as I went along on this one - not terribly, but enough for me to notice and be bothered by it - notice the lack of depth in my drawing from the PFC's chin to IBA in comparison with the photo, also the space between his arm and IBA. I'll probably edit those later, but they are obvious to anyone looking.
I left out the soldier behind him, with the M203, as I thought it would have been seriously noisy as far as the dynamic went.
Also, I need to get a scanner - my iPhone doesn't do too well for capturing things like this, unless in perfect light.

The view from the ranch - I'll never be able to do it justice honestly, because of how beautiful it is.

I need so much work on drawing peoples faces. It might be the tilt of the paper when I took the photograph, but Sam's chin is a little warped to the left, and Roxanas eyes aren't quite lined up. I hope neither of them mind. I also seem to be really poor at drawing teeth.

The more I paint, the more I wish I was actually good at it ha!
I should have washed the lake a darker yellow - my iPhone can barely pick up the color - the image is also stretched vertically in comparison to the reference picture. Overall though I'm pretty pleased with how it's turned out. I just need to keep plugging away and getting more used to paints. That said, I love stark contrast and the shapes of life - skylines are always nice to. I need to paint more people though - I've noticed I do a lot of nature and a lot of non focus on people.

I haven't been parachuting in a while now. There are some things though that really stick with you when you jump - you move so fast that only the things in front are really clear though - and if you don't shut your eyes closed the sights outside can be really beautiful. The sight of land from a few thousand feet up is really incredible - everything looks completely unreal.
This is another watercolor.

I absolutely love cafe racers - they are so clean in comparison to a lot of commercial bikes. The bare bones feel, the tight geometry - they really are beauty on wheels. Not really all that comfortable to ride though.
What with school out I've found myself with some time on my hands, and I've sliced some out for artwork. This was done with water colors. It's not as sharp as I wanted, but it looks OK - the wheels are lopsided and that bugs me a whole lot, honestly. I just have a really hard time drawing non organic shapes - perfect circles, without aid, are hard for me to do. Squares and rectangles, triangles and other shapes not so much but circles get me every time.
Edit - I smoothed out the front wheel just a tad - but it's still not quite there. Meh.

I've noticed that I'm not so great at drawing facial expression. I think I just never took time to get to know the human face, and since I like smiling people more than anything else I did some Facebook stalking and used some pictures for reference.
Mariah - I'm sorry, but I butchered your chin on the left side. Jami - I totally rubbed your nose and it looks way smeared. Dad - you look like a stud. Mychal and Michele Lowman - you guys are just a happy looking couple.
Cheers.

Another tattoo design inspired by a friend, as I have no imagination. This one is meant for the hip (in my mind the persons left side, with the top two tentacles at just about hip bone height, the bottom tentacles reaching down toward the thigh).
I can say confidently that I like this - especially the suction cups and the wavy tentacles, though I'm not sure I see the appeal of octopuses in general. It's not as clean as it should be, as I didn't erase as I was going through, but after putting darker lines on. I'll ink this in the future and give is a solid red purple coloring and shading eventually - I still need to figure out the running of GIMP and the scanner.

Overall it's fairly clean and has good shading and tone. It's based on the first image google picture search came up with - and there are slight inaccuracies, but generally I feel it matches up well.
In drawing this I've noticed some things - I have no patience, and little to no desire to complete things when I know it will turn out well. In my head it's done, and needs no more application. Also, I drag my hand and it makes everything smear from time to time. I can't not lean on the paper though, as my hand shakes like a leaf without support.
